My homeland is on the east coast of Australia, near the major city of Cairns. It is surrounded by tropical rainforest with fertile soil and many waterfalls. The location is on the Atherton Tablelands which has an elevation considerably higher than the coastal plain which makes it cooler in the summer months. It doesn't get extremely cold in winter either due to its proximity to the coast. It enjoys a temperate climate. Nearby is a volcanic crater lake where we like to swim during the hotter months.
